Responding to Mental Health in Teenagers Webinars

Responding to Mental Health in Teenagers Webinars

Over the past three months, I have had the privilege of hosting a series of webinars titled "Responding to Mental Health in Teenagers." These sessions have reached audiences not just across the United Kingdom but also as far as the United States of America. It fills me with pride to have been able to offer these webinars, which aim to educate, empower, and equip parents and professionals with the necessary skills to navigate and understand the complexities of teenage mental health.

In a time where many young people and their parents find themselves in limbo, awaiting support and assessments from medical professionals and services, the aims of these webinars have been to serve as a crucial resource to allow parents to employ strategies to use during this interim period. The period between identifying mental health concerns in a young person and awaiting support from services to start can be incredibly challenging and concerning for parents. Equally, this period can be incredibly dangerous for young people facing mental health challenges who are not in receipt of the professional support they need.

One of the most rewarding aspects of these webinars has been the creation of a safe space, where parents and professionals alike were able to openly share their ideas and strategies for supporting young people with mental health concerns, many advising from their own personal experiences.

I am excited to be facilitating further webinars in the future, dates of which can be found on my website. If you or anyone you know is interested in participating, or if you know of any parents who will benefit, please click here to secure your places.
