So... How Many Coaching Sessions Would My Child Need?

When you decide to invest in coaching for your child, one of the first questions that naturally comes to mind is, "How many sessions will they need?"

This is a valid query – after all, you want to ensure that your child gets the support they need without dragging out the process unnecessarily. In my approach to coaching, I emphasise getting results quickly – prioritising quality over quantity.

This means that while every child’s journey is unique, I aim to achieve meaningful progress in a relatively short period of time.

Focused And Effective Coaching

When it comes to coaching, it’s not about the number of sessions, but the effectiveness of each session. I believe in delivering focused, impactful sessions that drive real change, rather than extending the process over many months or years.

My goal is to help your child build resilience, develop a growth mindset and overcome challenges as efficiently as possible. This is why I tailor each session to address specific issues your child is facing, ensuring that every minute spent in coaching is valuable and productive.

Achieving Results Sooner Rather Than Later

Many parents are understandably concerned about the time commitment involved in coaching. I recognise that a short-term approach is often more feasible and preferable for both parents and young people.

Typically, I recommend an initial series of 6 to 8 coaching sessions, spread over several weeks. This time frame allows us to dive deep into the issues at hand, work through challenges and set your child on a path to success.

In most cases, this is enough to achieve significant, lasting results without the need for a long-term commitment. This also empowers young people to remain focused, engaged and – most importantly – committed to their coaching sessions and the work they will be undertaking as part of their coaching journey.

When Long-Term Coaching Is Beneficial

While my focus is on delivering results quickly, there are situations where longer-term coaching might be beneficial. For example, if your child is dealing with complex or deeply rooted issues, ongoing support can provide them with the consistent guidance they need to maintain progress and continue growing.

However, even in these cases, the coaching process remains efficient and goal-oriented, ensuring that each session is purposeful, contributes to your child’s overall development and is moving your child forward.

Monitoring Progress And Adjusting as Needed

One of the key aspects of my coaching approach is flexibility. As we progress through the sessions, I continuously monitor your child's development and adjust the coaching plan as needed.

This ensures that we are always focused on achieving the best possible outcomes in the shortest possible time. If we reach a point where additional sessions would be beneficial, this is something we can discuss openly, always keeping your child’s best interests at heart.

Begin The Journey Towards Positive Change

If you’re wondering how many sessions your child might need, the best way to start is with a free introductory session.

This allows us to discuss your child’s specific needs, outline a personalised coaching plan and set realistic goals. This also allows the young person to make an informed decision as to whether I am the right coach for them and provides an opportunity for them to ask lots of questions and find out more.

Whether your child requires a short-term boost or more extended support, I’m committed to providing high-quality coaching that delivers results. Let’s work together to help your child overcome their challenges and reach their full potential in a way that’s both effective and time-efficient.
